Aurora

Aurora Aksnes is an Norwegian Singer and Songwriter. Born in Stavanger on the 15th of June 1996. She is professionally known as Aurora. Her name may also be described by the name AURORA. Her debut E.P. Running with the Wolves by Decca Records was released on May 15, 2015 receiving rave reviews from musicians and music blogs and the press. She's also recorded some high-profile cover songs, like Half the World Away (by the band Oasis) for John Lewis' Christmas advert as well as Nature Boy (by Nat King Cole), which were widely appreciated. Katy Perry, who endorsed the song Runaway by her, also gave an additional boost to the music. Enjoy her day. Aurora Aksnes first musical memory was discovering a piano at her loft, where she was amazed by its sound. The parents of her May-Britt family and Jan Oystein Aksnes encouraged her to study music, not for professional or as a pastime, but rather to gain experience. The singer began to write her own songs. Her sources include renowned writers Leonard Cohen and Bob Dylan in addition to her love of Bjork's style. Her mother encouraged her to perform her music in front of the public, but not for the sake of trying to achieve fame, but rather to inspire others to realize just how important the music they compose and what they can do for the world. When she began playing the piano, she was six years old and began to write music by the time she was nine. She didn't tell her family about her musical journey until she was fourteen. Aurora wasn't a childhood dream. As she says, she loves writing music. She says that music is her most preferred way to feel anything.
