Megan Anna Rapinoe was born on the 5th July 1985, in Redding California. In her teens, she began playing soccer. Rachael, her twin sister and her attended University of Portland together. But a sprain to her knee caused her to miss a portion of seasons during her sophomore and junior years. Then she returned to full-time soccer when she was a senior, and played playing in all games during the season. The two goals scored by Rapinoe were part of the 4-3-2 United States victory against Australia in the Olympics of 2020 in Tokyo.
